Be more productive
By saving an imported PNG file as a preset, you can recall the settings used at the time (magnification level, ring light settings, etc) as well as the PNG file with a press of a button on a keyboard or numpad. This elimates time spent on fineadjusting the settings on the microscope and reduces preparation time in between samples. Use the extra time on performing more analyses in a day or spend it somewhere else in the company.

Be consistent
By recalling your settings, you can use the same settings over and over again across all analysis. Then it doesn't matter who's doing the work. The settings will always be the same.
The presets can even be locked in the microscope menu to prevent you from accidentally changing them.

Speed it up
Instead of using a ruler to manually measure an object, create an inspection graphic that allows you to quickly verify your object. Is it the right size? Great, move on to the next sample.
Or maybe you need an image bank with reference pictures of what to look out for during the inspection.

All-in-one
All you need to perform your inspection is included in the microscope hardware and software. No need for additional accessories. Once the presets have been defined with the control box, this can even be removed. Then, use a numpad to recall the presets without the risk of accidentally changing or overwriting the settings.
How is it different from Image comparison and DXF overlay?
In Image comparison, you can capture a picture of your live image and use it as a golden sample. That is, you can't import a picture. You can instead save a picture of what you are currently looking at and use it for future inspection.
In DXF overlay, however, you can import files and super impose it over the live image. But those pictures have to be DXF files. And you can't save DXF files as presets, because the overlays are only visible as long as the app is open.
But with PNG reference, you can close the app after you've chosen an imported picture, and the picture will still be visible. The PNG can then be saved alongside the matching microscope settings as a preset. These can be recalled with a press of a button on the keyboard or numpad. This eliminates the need for going to the app everytime, selecting the picture you need, adjusting it to the right magnification level, setting the right lighting and so on. With ONE press on a keyboard or numpad, it's all there, ready to be used.
What is a PNG picture?
PNG refers to an image format. Just like JPG. But what makes PNG special is that you can make the background transparent.
A PNG picture is therefore perfect for putting on top of another picture if the user still wants to see what is beneath it.

Create any PNG picture you want
There's no limits to what can be created as a PNG. The user can create an image bank to help them identify their object, a color scale to validate the color of their object, an outline of their object for exit control or something completely different. It's up to them!

Create as many PNG pictures as you want
Today, some customers are using graticule optics as an overlay over their live image. But those are expensive. Once the customer has the app, they can create as many PNG pictures they want at no additional cost. They do of course need to create the PNG picture on a separate computer in a photo editing software. We suggest using Photoshop. You will not be able to create a PNG with a transparent background in Microsoft Paint.

Save and recall presets for efficient and consistent inspections
Once the PNG is imported to the microscope, why not save it as a preset? The microscope will also save the magnification level and lighting settings used at the time. This makes it fast and easy to recall the exact same settings at a later point.

A delivery and handling charge applies to all orders with the exception of back-ordered items.
Unless otherwise required by Buyer, Seller will make transport arrangements as follows:
For deliveries within the metropolitan areas of mainland State capital cities a standard freight charge may be added to invoice; goods
For delivery outside those areas, seller will select the transport to be used and prepay freight for Buyer. Seller will then bill Buyer for freight at Seller's discretion.
Should the Buyer request goods be sent to a Post Office box the Buyer acknowledges this method is the only available and therefore the Seller is not liable for undelivered goods.
Free shipping on orders over $199 incl GST (valid for 1 delivery per order and excludes NT, WA & TAS). If only part of the order is in stock, the customer has the option of paying for a second delivery if they require a partial shipment prior to all goods becoming available. Mektronics Australia reserves the right to charge additional freight in the event of hazardous, bulky or heavy items ordered.
DELIVERY TIME
All quoted delivery or consignment dates are estimates only, given without engagement.
Delay in consignment of any part of an order shall not relieve Buyer of its obligation to accept and pay for the remainder of the order.
Except as provided in paragraph 1.2 of Terms & Conditions, seller will not be liable to pay damages or compensation for any injury or loss sustained by Buyer
a) in the event of a delay in consignment or delivery of goods: or
b) in the event of non delivery.
Goods offered ex-stock by Seller are subject to prior sale.
In the event of any happening beyond Seller's reasonable control in consequence of which Seller cannot effect consignment by the time or times quoted or specified, Seller shall be entitled to consign part only of an order, suspend consignment or extend the time for consignment, for the period during which such cause of delay operates, or may cancel the order, and in the event of such suspension, extension or cancellation, Seller shall not be liable for damages.
