The is a portable battery powered checker fitted with built-in parallel electrodes that allow for tests of material surface resistance. This meter is designed for quick checks of surface resistance for ESD control applications in electronics manufacturing or handling environment. The is equipped with an automatic test voltage selector. The test voltage will switch from 10V to 100V should the measured resistance exceed 1 x 105 ohms. Two banana jacks and an electrode toggle switch allow for the connection of two external 5 pound electrodes that measure surface resistance point to point (RTT).
Economical Compliance Verification Surface Resistance Checker: Used for determining if a surface is dissipative, conductive, or insulative
Color Coded LEDs: Quickly provides exponent range for quick checks of EPA ESD control items
Automatic Test Range Voltage Selection Per Compliance Verification ESD TR53: Starts tests at 10 volts and automatically switches to 100 volts if the measurement is over 10E5 ohms
Once Reading is Finalized, the Surface Resistance Exponent Will Remain Displayed as Long as Test Button is Depressed: Provides exponent range of resistance measurement which is often all that is required for determining if a material is intended for an ESD Protected Area
Portable Operation With 9 Volt Battery: No charging or sourcing of special batteries needed
Flashing LED Warns When Battery Is Low: Prevents operator from making bad measurements
Optional Five Pound Electrodes and Leads For Resistance Measurements: Use the same checker to indicate resistance point-to-point (Rtt) and resistance to ground (Rtg) of larger surfaces (flooring, mats)
NIST Calibrated: Calibrated with accepted procedures and standards traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
